Feud Downplayed
Most Party members believe the feuds are personal. This could carry some merit if the Senators didn’t refer to what Trump is doing.
Both Corker and Flake disagree with some of the changes Trump has made. This doesn’t seem like a personality issue but more ethical.
These men have seen changes to legislature and policies that they considered necessary to their Party. Trump isn’t known as a politician so who is pulling the strings?
Who is feeding the President this agenda? Whatever the case maybe, Flake and Corker disapprove. What could have also caused Graham a change of heart?
Corker said “tax reform is our agenda. Everybody acts like this is some White House – tax reform is the Republican Congress’s agenda.”
“The only thing the White House can do right now is harm the effort by taking things off the table in advance,” Corker said.
Sen. Ted Cruz said “we’ve got a job to do, damn it, and so all of this nonsense, I got nothing to say on it. Everyone shut up and do your job, is my view.”
Cruz has had his own feud with Trump. Yet he is more interested in getting the job done. He seemed more concerned about getting things done than being personal.
Sen. Thom Tillis said he agreed with some of Flake’s speech. But he also said “substantively there’s not much difference between most of the Senate members and the President. Stylistically? We all deal with it in different ways.”
At the end of the day the American people matter most and should benefit from whatever Government does.
