“I believe that Donald Trump in the White House will be more abusive to the Constitution (than then-President Barack Obama), and that’s saying a lot,” Pruitt said in February 2016.
Since making that statement Pruitt made a 180 degree turn.
He had said that Trump would take “unapologetic steps to use executive power to confront Congress in a way that is truly unconstitutional.”
Such a drastic change won’t go unnoticed and would only left any sensible person to wonder what caused such a change of heart.
Even now many politicians and others wanted Trump impeached for what they considered unconstitutional actions.
Yet the proof was necessary for such an act and Trump still had his Republican colleagues in his corner, well the majority.
If Trump agreed to the meeting with Mueller it could seal the deal for him either way. It could either prove him innocent of any collusion or find him guilty of perjury.
