GOP Tax Bill Causes Outburst And Concerns For Those Who Disapprove

Bill Passed

Steve Scalise said “I think most people know how important it is to cut taxes and get the economy moving again, and this bill does that.”

The bill was passed in the House and then also by Senate.

“We are not convinced that the middle class gets a fair shake when it comes to the deductions that have been eliminated, where the tax brackets are set, and whether and where jobs will be created,” said a joint statement.

Reps. Jim Costa, Henry Cuellar, and Daniel Lipinski came together to give this statement.

Mitch McConnell said “for the millions of hard-working Americans who need more money in their pockets and the chance of a better future, help is on the way.”

“When the Senate returns after Thanksgiving, I will bring this must-pass legislation to the floor for further debate and open consideration,” he said.

Hatch said “anyone who says that we’re hiking taxes on low-income families is misstating the facts.”

Now that Republicans have their desired tax bill, it is a wait and see situation. It will take some time to see who really benefits and who doesn’t.
