Democrats Have Their Memo Rejected As Trump Weighs In On Russian Investigation

The Democrats had their memo rejected by President Trump. He had to sign off on it so that it could become public, but refused.

Trump didn’t think that the information contained in the memo was deserving of release and called it political and long.

The President also made it clear that Democrats wanted to make Americans feel he lacked transparency. The memo was done in such a way, that he would refuse to sign it making it seem he had something to hide.

However Adam Schiff responded to Trump’s accusation by saying the memo contained facts.

Trump also weighed in on the report that Russians sold fake info to those who opposed him.

“According to the [New York Times], a Russian sold phony secrets on ‘Trump’ to the U.S.,” Trump tweeted. “Asking price was $10 million, brought down to $1 million to be paid over time. I hope people are now seeing & understanding what is going on here. It is all now starting to come out – DRAIN THE SWAMP!”

Trump’s Say

“The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency,” Trump tweeted. “Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!”

Democrats had to hope that when and if they redo their memo it doesn’t suffer the same fate.

“We hope this matter can be quickly resolved so the committee can return to its charge — fully investigating the Russian interference in our election and the role of the Trump campaign, and what steps need to be taken to protect against foreign interference in the next election, now only months away,” Trump said.
