The President’s Fake News Stirs Up An Emotional Whirlwind

Fake News

Trump said “if you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls. A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate, when I think I am able to do it.”

He was responding to a question asked by a reporter. The reporter wanted to know how come he never said anything about soldiers killed in an ambush.

The soldiers were U.S. special-force members killed in an ambush in Niger.

Ben Rhodes tweeted “this is an outrageous and disrespectful lie even by Trump standards. Also: Obama never attacked a Gold Star family.”

Joy Reid tweeted “Trump just can’t stop slandering President Obama. But his claim today that Obama didn’t call the families of fallen soldiers is a new low.”

What will Trump say to all of this? What should we call his statements? It is clear that he is doing the very thing he disapproves of.

It can’t be that he is the only one allowed to say what he likes. Must every other person keep quiet and allow him to say what he wants?

The First Amendment is clearly the bedrock of America. It looks like he will have to endure any news right now. That is whether he thinks it is fake or not.

Let the American people decide what they will believe. If it is false, the truth will come out eventually.
