Retrieved Emails Show Major Contact Between Russians And Trump’s Team During Campaign

Great interest still existed in the Russian inquiry. Robert Mueller was looking into Trump’s finances and Paul Manafort fought to get his bond lifted.

Trump tweeted about Michael Flynn as he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. The President also attacked the FBI citing failure to carry out their job.

The FBI responded saying their integrity was intact and criticized Trump’s comments as inappropriate.

But Trump’s statements had been seen as suspicious, calling for a deeper look into his role in the Russian interference.

Investigators had emails that showed there was communication with Russia and cited possible collusion.

Russian Social Media

Emails show that a Russian social media Executive had communications with members of Trump’s campaign team.

The Executive of Vkontakte, Konstantin Sidorkov sent many emails to Donald Trump Jr. and Dan Scavino about assisting Trump’s campaign.

Dan Scavino now held the post as White House social media Director.

Konstantin Sidorkov wrote “it will be the top news in Russia,” if Trump won.

Rob Goldstone was a major player in making connections for the Trump team. “I’m following up on an email [from] a while back of something I had mentioned to Don and Paul Manafort during a meeting recently,” Goldstone wrote to Scavino.

He said that the VK and Emin Agalarov wanted to do a “Vote Trump 2016” promo.

“At the time, Paul had said he would welcome it, and so I had the VK folks mock up a basic sample page, which I am resending for your approval now,” Goldstone wrote. “It would merely require Mr. Trump to drop in a short message to Russian-American voters or a generic message, depending on your choice, and the page can be up and running very quickly.”

Trump’s Tweets

Trump tweeted about Michael Flynn’s guilty which said he lied to FBI. Trump offered mixed reactions as he claimed he fired Flynn for lying to the FBI.

That didn’t become common knowledge till days after he was fired. It was reported that there seemed to be an investigation into Flynn before his firing.

Trump also tweeted his support for Flynn, condemning the inquiry and the FBI. His tweets had now made him an even bigger target of investigation.

Trump tweeted “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!”

Now the FBI wants to know what Trump knew before firing Flynn.
