President Trump Supports Roy Moore As He Looks To Sue His Accusers

It was reported that President Trump just stopped short of endorsing Roy Moore. He had been accused of showing favoritism to Moore while attacking Sen. Al Franken.

To make matters worse Trump didn’t believe the women who accused Moore. He reportedly shared his thoughts in private with members of staff.

Moore had promised he would sue. He was now looking into his options about suing one or more of his accusers.

If this will help him in any way remains to be seen. Moore had maintained his innocence and continued to hold his ground.

As the election date draws near the drama may soon be over. Particularly the election part of it since there would still be the matter of dealing with allegations.

Moore Could Sue

Moore told Scott Beason “I don’t know them. I’ve never spoken to them, and certainly I didn’t do anything to them.” Beason talked to Moore on his radio talk show.

“Do you plan to pursue any legal action with defamation against any of these people — Washington Post or anybody?” Beason asked.

Moore replied “we are. We’re talking about The Washington Post. We’re talking about the women involved.”

He didn’t give much information about the legal matters. Moore said “that’s for investigators.” But he said: “There are things coming out in the future which I can’t talk about.”

“We’re getting proof,” he said. “We’ll continue to do that.”

Trump Backing

“He denies it. Look, he denies it,” Trump said of Moore. “If you look at all the things that have happened over the last 48 hours. He totally denies it. He says it didn’t happen. And look, you have to look at him also.”

“We don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat, Jones. I’ve looked at his record. It’s terrible on crime. It’s terrible on the border. It’s terrible on military,” Trump said. “I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody who’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad for the military, bad for the Second Amendment.”.

Trump certainly had given Moore his blessing. Based on earlier comments by some White House staff, Moore winning the election was paramount.

It was reported that Ivanka Trump had a different view. She said “I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts. There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children.”

Her concerns seemed quite different to her father. As time goes by the true motives for what was ongoing would come to light.
