Philadelphia Eagles Denounce False Political Ad Endorsing Kamala Harris

The Philadelphia Eagles responded swiftly after a “counterfeit” political advertisement endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election circulated on social media on Monday. The team issued a statement clarifying that the animated poster featuring Harris in an Eagles helmet was not an official ad from the organization. They emphasized that they were actively working to have the misleading content removed.

“We are aware counterfeit political ads are being circulated and are working with our advertising partner to have them removed,” the Eagles stated on social media.

The fabricated poster, reportedly spotted at a bus stop in Philadelphia, declared Harris as the “official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.” It also directed viewers to the Eagles’ official website, claiming to offer voting information. However, the website’s voting details appeared outdated as of Monday afternoon, with the last updates occurring before the Pennsylvania and New Jersey primaries.
