Mike Pence Comes Out Of The Shadows As He Spoke To His Republican Colleagues

Vice President Mike Pence had been a man of few words. Yes at times he spoke to the public, but when he spoke it was usually low keyed. He seldom reached out to share blows by blasting anyone.

That was now a thing of the past as he took to blasting Joe Manchin and Nancy Pelosi. He was upset about how Manchin voted in regards to the tax bill and other policies.

Pence attacked a statement made by Pelosi about bonuses given to employees. She considered the amount very small but Pence disagreed.

Pence said “if you’re going to say $1,000 is ‘crumbs,’ you live in a different world than I do.”

The Vice President wasn’t accustomed to much tweeting, at least not compared to his Chief. However when it came to pouncing on Manchin, Pence didn’t hold back.

Pence Twitter Rant

Pence tweeted “I was in WV a few months ago & I spoke to the WV Chamber of Commerce. @Sen_JoeManchin was there – & I looked him in the eye and I told him, “Joe, the people of the Mountain State are counting on you,” so let’s “get this tax cut done together.” But #JoeVotedNo.”

Mike Pence continued his onslaught with even more tweets.

“Joe Manchin voted NO to letting hard working families keep more of their hard-earned money. Joe voted NO on TAX CUTS for job creators,” he tweeted.

Pence continued “when the time came to repeal & replace the disaster of Obamacare, Joe voted NO. When we empowered West Virginia to defund Planned Parenthood, Joe voted NO. And when it comes to securing our Southern border, Joe said, “I’m not voting for the wall, either.”

The Vice President was on a roll, it was almost as if Trump was doing the tweeting. This behavior was unlike what was the norm for him.

He added “@Sen_JoeManchin is going to keep voting against West Virginia & I think Chuck Schumer & Nancy Pelosi are pretty happy w/ the way he votes. But WV needs to let him know that they EXPECT BETTER & they need to let Joe know that WEST VIRGINIA DESERVES BETTER. #JoeVotedNo”

Manchin Response

“I am shocked that after the Vice President worked for almost a year in a divisive and partisan way to take healthcare away from almost 200,000 West Virginians, bankrupt our hospitals, and push tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and huge corporations that he would come to West Virginia and continue his partisan attacks,” Manchin said.

Manchin said “the Vice President’s comments are exactly why Washington sucks.”

Up to press time Pelosi hadn’t responded to comments from Pence.
