Michelle Obama recently spoke about what she considered a big mistake by American women. She said that she still reflected on the election outcome and said women were responsible.
Obama had received much criticism in the past during her husband’s Presidential office and after. She didn’t allow this to hamper her in any way and had much to say about how Trump was running the Country.
This in light of what happened recently with Sarah Sanders was ironic. Her reputation and integrity faced much criticism after a statement she made proved false.
She had said in a previous briefing that Trump knew nothing of a payment to Stormy Daniels.
Trump’s recent addition to his legal team Rudy Giuliani said Trump repaid attorney Michael Cohen for the payment.
Integrity On The Line
“It doesn’t matter who holds this job for President Trump, they’re going to be unfairly attacked and ridiculed,” said Jason Miller, a former Trump campaign adviser. “Since Sarah Huckabee Sanders works for President Trump, it seems to be open season on her professionally and personally.”
After the revelation by Giuliani, Sanders faced an onslaught of questions about what was said by her and Giuliani.
“I’ve given the best information I had at the time,” Sanders said,something she said six times. “Some information I am aware of and some I’m not.”
This wasn’t a good place for Sanders to be as she often criticized those who didn’t speak the truth.
“I would always advise against giving false information,” Sanders said. “As a person of human decency, I do my best to give the right information.”
Women To Blame
Michelle Obama made a bold statement as she spoke to a large gathering of women at the United State of Women summit.
“In light of this last election, I’m concerned about us as women and how we think,” she said at the event. “What is going on in our heads where we let that happen, you know?”
“When the most qualified person running was a woman, and look what we did instead, I mean that says something about where we are,” Obama said.
“That’s what we have to explore, because if we as women are still suspicious of one another, if we still have this crazy, crazy bar for each other that we don’t have for men… if we’re not comfortable with the notion that a woman could be our president compared to… what, then we have to have those conversations with ourselves as women,” she added.
