Kathy Griffin has taken back her apology. She says she is no longer sorry for what she did. Griffin faced pressure from the media and many other individuals for her actions.
The ordeal left her sad and apologetic for what she had done. She was blasted by Melanie Trump who wasn’t impressed by her actions.
Now over a month has passed and Griffin says she is no longer sorry. She told the Australian morning show that it was taken too far. She said “The whole thing got so blown out of proportion.”
Griffin said she lost many friends after the event. She mentioned Chelsea Clinton and Debra Messing. It looks as though that got the best of her.
Friendship
What caused Griffin to apologize was the friendship backlash. There didn’t seem to be any remorse for her actions. But not having the support of her friends killed her spirit.
Kathy Griffin also suffered at the hands of her employers. She was fired from CNN shortly after. Griffin usually worked a gig for CNN on New Year’s Eve.
She also lost out on her comedy tour and several endorsements. Anderson Cooper was a long time friend, but that friendship ended s well.
Cooper called the act inappropriate. He said “I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
Apparently Cooper distanced himself from Griffin and made that known. Clearly there was a lack of communication among friends.
Blame Game
Griffin took to blaming Trump and his supporters for the reaction she received. She said “These Trump fans are hard-core. They’re a minority, but they know how to act like a majority.”
The host made a suggestion about the photo that Griffin posted. He was met by a rough response from Griffin.
She answered “You’re full of cr*p! Stop this. Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the President of the United States is committing.”
Griffin who has found a new fire has dropped all remorse. Many people are probably wondering what caused her to take back her apology?
She believes she was bullied into apologizing and is no longer in that mood. Griffin will obviously be stronger for the next wave of criticism. Since she is no longer being apologetic.
It’s a wait and see game now since Kathy has made her move. If she does receive a response, how will she handle it? The surprise of losing friends has long gone.
She seems to be at a place where whatever comes let it come. No more apologies, no more friends so called.
